Simon Duce, best known as the Founder and Managing Director of Ash Residential Property Management Ltd has once again expanded his offering by creating a brand new enterprise, aptly named ‘Everything Lettings’. Over the past 18 months, you would be hard pressed not to have seen the growth of ARPM Property Management, which boasts an enviable Client base of some of the best known Lettings businesses in the UK. Here Simon shares some of his secrets to his success and the reasons for creating ‘Everything Lettings’.
“For many years now the Lettings Industry has been my passion, but as any business owner will tell you, for a vision to be achieved you need to have the right people in place. Last June, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Dave Hunt. As most people will know, Dave was the Managing Director of the Live Letting Exchange and I had always watched his companies’ success with interest. At this stage, ARPM Property Management was just on the border of going into its next phase of development and I was confident that Dave was the right person to take the business forward – after all, his development skills and experience spoke for itself! I therefore created a new position in the company and Dave joined as Business Development Director.
With the growth of our outsourced lettings solution well underway, it was time to focus on the other side of the business – being ARPM Inventories. It was clear to me that Dave and his former Business Development Manager, Kate Maddison, had a very good working relationship and it was therefore a natural decision to offer Kate a position within the team here at ARPM. Whilst Kate has only recently joined the business, her experience within the UK Inventory Industry is exemplary and all I can say is ‘watch this space’; there are some very, very interesting projects in the pipeline and I am excited to see what 2013 brings!
Through Dave, I was introduced to Roy Fuller. Roy also previously worked with both Dave and Kate and came highly recommended. Having had the opportunity to really review the Lettings Industry during the last 12 months, it was clear to me that there is a real market for a business which could offer a ‘everything under one roof’ solution to the Lettings Industry – from gas safety certificates to Landlord warranty packs. Whilst this was not something which ARPM could provide, I was confident it was the right time to go ahead with taking the decision to develop a completely new business and with Roy’s experience of working with panels of contractors, along with his contacts within the Industry, the decision was made to create Everything Lettings and appoint Roy as its Director.
For me, the key to the success of my business lies with its people. Dave, Roy and Kate are an instrumental part in the next stage the companies’ development and in making each business, in its own right, the supplier of choice for Lettings operations nationwide”.
