Parklane Properties was named Letting Agent of the Year at the Landlord & Lettings Awards 2013/14.
There were winners in each region but Parklane, a family-owned business in Leeds, won the overall title.
Parklane has Parklane Students and Parklane Professionals brands, and was founded in 1977.
The company’s recently refurbished head office in Headingley was designed with tenants in mind and includes iPads for easy browsing of properties and home comforts including a fresh coffee machine and comfortable seating.
Lorraine Walker, branch manager at Parklane Properties, said: “This accolade is a fantastic end to what has been a great year for Parklane Properties.
“We have invested heavily in ensuring our customers get the best possible service from our team and in making the lettings process run as smoothly and hassle-free as possible.
“Winning this award is testament to the Parklane team and has made all the hard work worthwhile. We were up against some fantastic companies in this category and to be announced as the national winner is a major achievement for the team.”

I can only wonder if you have been as far as Wisbeach. You are certainly demonstrating a spectacular and insular ignorance.
Unless Christopher Hamer has decided otherwise there are currently no rules about what an agent's portfolio should consist of. If a business can be profitable from a niche portfolio so be it. As it happens Headingly is stuffed full of HMO student lets and Yuppy pads so it is not surprising that they don't have any DSS. Why rent a property to a single family when a typical 3 bed semi can accommodate 6 or 8 students doubling or trebling the rental income.
Perhaps if you worked on increasing Landlord yields you might be a little more highly thought of by your clients.
Cherry picking comes to mind !! ipads and coffee but we only want certain types.
Best letting agent in the uk.
If you go on their website you have to be a student or professional. What if I work at Tesco I am not professional or a student am I just ignored? Best letting agent for students or professionals only may be. Who voted students and professionals presumably what about normal tenants and dss ? f off?
That might be true but the inspiration and motivation of winning the award will live for a very long time to come.
The achievement can not be taken away and they can honestly claim that they have been independently judged to be the best UK Letting Agent in 2013. I am sure their boards, advertisements and website will carry the winner’s rosette to good effect for several years and it will be effective, where it matters, in their area.
It is easy to dismiss and trivialise awards but to do so misses the point and ignores the benefit of entering in the first place. It is only the good who can consider entering awards like this and only the best who can win.
I have no possible benefit to be gained from congratulating Park Lane so I can say with genuine sincerity that Park lane have been consistently good for the 18 years I have known them but with Jonathon Morgan on their patch they have had to be. Park Lane thoroughly deserve this recognition and I am sure they will make the most of it.
Unfortunately not many will remember this award in 7 days' time and is meaningless outside their immediate vicinity.
Good luck to them anyway.
Congratulations to Sameer and the team. It is good to see an award going to a genuinely talented and forward thinking team.
Very few people will know or understand how influential Park Lane have been on the entire Lettings and Management Industry through their intelligent demands for better software; many of the features of CFPwinMan were influenced by Park Lane who were always willing to provide a practical perspective on functional features. This award is only a tiny and long overdue recognition of a firm which really is a model of best practice in Property management. With that said Sammy has some stiff and equally talented competition in Headingly which necessitates Park lane having to be on top form at all times.
In my opinion the standards of lettings and management in Leeds and Headingly really demonstrate that strong and capable competition for business are the single most effective way of driving up standards in the industry for the benefit of all concerned; Landlords, tenants and agents.
Well Done!
