Congratulations to Essex agent cmRENT for raising money for its local hospice.
This was not some big corporate team-building event, but consisted of managing director Michael Saville and Paul Buck, office manager, who undertook the Three Peaks Challenge in August to raise funds for the Farleigh Hospice.
Buck said: “At the beginning of the year I decided that I wanted to complete a challenge and in turn raise some money for charity. I asked a number of people and Michael was the only person (crazy enough) to agree to attempt to complete the Three Peaks Challenge over the August bank holiday weekend.
“The challenge was to climb the three tallest peaks in the UK – Ben Nevis, Scarfel Pyke and Snowdon – all within 24 hours.
“We started the challenge at 7.30am on a Saturday and carried on all the way through the day and night until finally finishing Snowdon on Sunday morning.
“We both endured blisters, lack of sleep, complete exhaustion and minor injury to complete the challenge. However, it was a great experience and we managed to raise £1,756 for the Farleigh Hospice.
“We selected the hospice as our chosen charity as they are a local charity and we recognised the very good work that they do.”
The pair are now arranging a challenge for next year to raise more money for the Farleigh Hospice. Good luck to them.
