Enforcement officers have swooped on three addresses in east London in the latest bid to clampdown on rogue landlords and so-called Beds In Sheds.
Council officers, along with officers from a local police team, found 55 people including children living in the properties in Dagenham.
In the first property officers discovered 22 people including four children in an illegally converted house with four bedrooms. In the second officers found 18 people living in cramped and dangerous conditions including two children in six bedrooms – although the house was originally designed to hold only three people.

What a ridiculous state of affairs it all is. What exactly did people think was going to happen when you have a country with a crippling housing shortage and open borders?
You think conditions are bad now? Give it 10 years.
The stupidity of it all is utterly baffling.
