Rent Smart Wales has approved the three NFOPP awarding body qualifications in lettings, which allow agents to become approved Rent Smart Wales licensed agents.
These are currently the only lettings qualifications that are officially regulated by the Welsh Government.
This is retrospective, so those who have already taken any of the NFOPP qualifications in lettings in the past will be accredited – they will simply have to undertake a free online top-up about Rent Smart Wales.
“We hope this will go a long way in improving the standards of lettings in Wales, and are delighted Rent Smart Wales recognise the quality of our qualifications. We’re continuing our discussions with Rent Smart Wales over a possible provision to the licencing fee structure” explains David Cox, ARLA’s managing director.
