Local media in west London report that nine people have been rescued by firefighters after a fire above a letting and estate agency office.
Acton W3, an online publication, says three women, two men and two children were lifted from a second floor of the property above the premises of Atlas agency in Acton.
Ten residents from the building and three from a neighbouring block left before the fire brigade arrived. London Ambulance Service crews took two men to hospital who were suffering from smoke inhalation and treated numerous others at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the police and fire investigators.
