The demonisation of agents continues with the launch of a web-based application designed to “enable local authorities to take action against rogue letting agents.”
Capita’s product, called Advantage Impact for Rogue Landlord and Agency Management, claims also to safeguard tenants from being taken advantage of.
It claims to “accommodate full investigation and case management details, multiple accommodation information, appeal information, the recording and management of bans, sanctions and complaints, and the aiding of improvements and enforcements.” It has a feature to register letting agents and landlords, including those handling HMOs.
Capita is offering the software free to the first 100 councils that sign up before the end of May and a spokesman claims: “We have worked with local authorities for over 10 years to help support them in protecting vulnerable people. Tackling the issue of rogue landlords and letting agents is the natural next step in our provision.”

So what about a listing of bad tenants?
Is this an exclusive to Councils service or can agents have the software oh and by the way what price after the first 100 have been handed out?
Seems a bit one sided to me.
