Inventory clerks announce partnership with Property Redress Scheme

The Association of Independent Inventory Clerks (AIIC) has announced that it has joined the Property Redress Scheme (PRS).

With over 700 members, the AIIC is the UK's largest membership organisation for independent clerks and the partnership means all its members are now covered by the Property Redress Scheme's resolution service.

"We are delighted to join the PRS who are doing such an important job for the property industry, protecting consumer rights and educating property professionals about industry best practice," says Patricia Barber, chair of the AIIC.

"The AIIC is looking forward to working together with the PRS to further this aim.”

The Property Redress Scheme has also announced that nationwide inventory firm VeriSmart has also become a member.

"We are very pleased to be working together with the PRS, making sure our customers’ rights are met and also helping to improve standards within our industry,” comments Jonathan Senior, chairman and founder at VeriSmart.

One of three government-approved redress schemes for property professionals, the PRS says it is now working with over 20 inventory firms and has over 4,500 estate and letting agent members.

Last week the organisation announced details of a workshop for Welsh letting agents, which will have a strong focus on the Rent Smart Wales licensing scheme.
