A letting agent is on trial after being accused of rape.
John Evans, 53, has pleaded not guilty to six counts of rape between November 2013 and May 2014.
At the time of the allegations, Evans was the boss of Simply Lets, based in Plymouth.
The defendant has expressed his shock at being accused by the complainant, according to a report in the Plymouth Herald.
Evans has repeatedly denied all the incidents which the woman has alleged, saying that 'nothing untoward' happened between them.
The trial, which is taking place at Plymouth Crown Court, continues.
