David Cox, the chief executive of ARLA Propertymark, has joined the board of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme as a non-executive director.
Cox, a qualified barrister, joins NAEA Propertymark chief executive Mark Hayward who has been a TDS board member for the last three years.
Cox has been a prominent campaigner for mandatory regulation of the lettings industry, client money protection legislation and raising professional standards.
“It’s a privilege to sit on the board of an organisation which shares the goal of improving the experiences of everyone involved in lettings” says Cox.
“My experience of working with government and Whitehall departments will add value to the board, particularly with upcoming changes to legislation in the private rented sector.”
