Online letting agency Upad has appointed the chairman of the new UK PropTech Association to its advisory board.
Eddie Holmes, who announced the formation of the new body last week, is described in the statement revealing has appointment as assisting Upad “with its ambition to become the UK’s dominant letting agent.”
In addition to Holmes, a well-known PropTech consultant, Upad has also appointed James Micklethwait, the former head of product development at Rightmove, as an advisory board member. He was previously responsible for Rightmove’s 100-strong technology team and product strategy.
Upad was founded in 2007 by James Davis and now claims to be the UK’s largest online lettings agency, helping let over 43,000 properties to date.
“With our latest figures suggesting that over 90 per cent of UK tenants now start their rental search online, optimising the digital customer journey is imperative” Davis says.
