Rightmove and Zoopla have entered into partnerships with a property management app - Rentr - which is aimed at lettings sector operators.
Rentr allows landlords and tenants to let and rent properties, including right to rent checks and the signing of contracts.
It now also includes reports for maintenance issues filed by tenants through the app; landlords are then able to assign contractors to fix visits. Rentr also has capacity for extra information to be added to the maintenance report such as images and invoices.
Publicity material for the app concentrates on its appeal to landlords and tenants, rather than agents, although teaming-up with Rightmove and Zoopla suggests agents may be able to use it to advertise their portfolios on the major portals.
“Landlords want to manage their portfolio in different ways, it’s not a one-size-fits-all industry. Some landlords will have multiple properties and will be managing them full-time whereas others might have just the one but have to manage their tenants around their day jobs” says a spokesman for Rentr.
