The Lettings Hub is broadening its offer to agents by launching a utility management service on top of its traditional referencing and insurance provisions.
The Lettings Hub, launched near the end of last year following a merger between LetRisks and The Landlord Hub, says agents are faced with revenue losses if the fees’ ban is introduced in England, while some landlords are threatening to stop using agents if their profits fall as a result of increased buy to let taxation.
It says it is therefore seeking to offer agents a time-saving service - for no fee - by taking on responsibility of dealing with utility and council notifications between tenancies so agencies “can focus their time and efforts on securing new lets and winning over more landlords.”
It says it will offer tenants a ‘whole of market’ quote for their gas, electricity, TV, Broadband and phone packages, As part of the process, landlords can also benefit from a void property service to help them eliminate small energy bills between tenancies.
