One of the UK’s largest independent letting agency chains, Leaders, has entered into a partnership with specialist energy provider Spark Energy.
Leaders is part of Property Services Holdings, which also own Romans, with which Spark Energy had an existing contract.
“I’m really pleased that we’ll be working with Spark Energy. Spark’s knowledge and understanding of the lettings industry was a key factor in our decision and its aim to provide excellent customer service will benefit our landlords and tenants” says Peter Loverdos, chief operating officer at Property Services Holdings.
The deal means Leaders clients’ new tenants will join on a tariff which - according to Spark - is cheaper than the ‘big six’ energy companies’ average.
"Leaders is a well-known and respected name in the industry and its commitment to providing excellent customer care is something that we share” says Spark’s commercial director Ian Crowther.
Spark describes itself as the only independent energy supplier in Great Britain that focuses on the lettings industry. It receives fewer complaints per 100,000 customers than each of the big six and the average of the independents in every quarter according Ofgem statistics.

I fear this is a big mistake for Leaders/Romans.
My current agency also uses Spark and I'm unsure I have heard anything positive from them in four years.
Impossible to get hold of and very expensive too.
