The independent lettings agency Chilli Residential has been snapped up by a local branch of franchise giant Martin & Co.
The Aldershot branch of Martin & Co now has more than 400 managed properties in its portfolio following the deal.
As well as Chilli Residential’s portfolio of more than 150 properties, the independent’s property manager Gemma Flurry will also be joining Martin & Co Aldershot, which is part of the nationwide brand’s network of more than 170 branches.
Martin & Co branch owners Richard Oldaker and James Wiggins have traded in the Hampshire town for almost a decade since starting the office from scratch in 2009.
“We were approached by one of the directors of Chilli as James and I used to work with him before we opened our own agencies. They were in talks with other companies but were confident our reputation and high level of service would best retain their clients and keep them happy” says Oldaker.
Managing director of Martin & Co, Louise Griffiths, adds: “Our strategy of growing the Martin & Co network through acquisitions continues to go from strength to strength.”
