A group of criminals threw a large concrete block through a window to gain access to an estate and letting agency.
The St Helens branch of Ashtons - which has eight branches across the North West - was targeted by an unknown number of offenders between 3pm on Saturday February 17 and 12.30pm on Sunday February 18.
As reported in the St Helens Star, police are appealing for witnesses.
"There is no reported stolen property at this time, however forensic teams are currently undergoing a search of the site to establish the level of damage inside and outside of the property," said a spokeswoman for Merseyside Police.
"CCTV enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to get in contact by reporting via @MerPolCC or calling 101 quoting: 18200039618."
