The former owner and director of a Plymouth lettings agency are to stand trial on charges of fraud, false accounting and theft amounting to some £450,000.
As has been reported on Letting Agent Today in the past, Heather Crabb owned Drake Homes from 2005 until it closed in September 2016.
She was arrested by police in December 2016 and at the end of last week appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court with another defendant, agency director Jill Wood.
The Western Evening Herald, present in court, reports that Crabb stands accused of five offences - false accounting, two of fraud by abuse of position and two of theft.
The newspaper claims that between March 1, 2013 and September 1, 2016 she allegedly dishonestly falsified Drakes Homes deposit account. Wood is jointly charged with her from the period of March 1, 2013 and May 1, 2015.
The combined figure for the offences amounts to some £450,000.
Crabb gave no plea to all matters and Wood pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Both women are due to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on April 9 and have been given unconditional bail.
