The owner of a Plymouth lettings agency is to stand trial in November and faces charges of fraud, false accounting and theft of hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The trial is expected to last between two and three weeks. Heather Crabb, who ran Drake Homes from 2005 until it closed in September 2016, denies all charges.
Also facing trial on five charges is Jill Wood, a former company director; she also denies all allegations.
Crabb and Wood also deny a joint allegation of falsifying the Drake Homes deposit account between March 2013 and May 2015.
At Plymouth magistrates’ court, Crabb has also pleaded not guilty to fraud by abuse of position as a company director between July 2013 and May 2015.
She denied a similar allegation between March and September 2016.
Local media in Plymouth say Crabb allegedly used money from various tenants as her own on both counts.
Crabb is also accused of stealing £91,627.40 from tenants between March 31 2015 and April 1 2016.
She also allegedly stole £129,368 from landlords between January 1 2016 and December 31 2017.
Wood also denies a single charge of fraud by abuse of position by treating the money of landlords and tenants as her own between July 2013 and April 2016.
