Online accommodation platform Student.com has linked with mental health charity Student Minds in a bid to prioritise mental health awareness amongst agents and landlords.
The invitation to participate is being extended to the accommodation providers who advertise some 150,000 students beds on the platform, across over 60 UK locations.
“Partnering with Student Minds allows us to take our commitment to student wellbeing one step further, by sharing knowledge and best practice within our network of accommodation providers” states platform founder and chief executive Luke Nolan.
Meanwhile Student Minds chief executive Rosie Tressier says: “Fundamental to a student’s experience at university is where they live and this can have a large impact on their mental health and wellbeing. It has been great to see a number of large student accommodation providers working to improve student mental health.”
