Consolidation in the lettings sector continues apace with another independent agency being snapped up in Oxfordshire.
The Scott Fraser agency has acquired Abbey Rentals, with all properties and staff transferring to the buyer’s Witney office.
The Abbey Rentals purchase is the first of a number of strategic acquisitions planned for Scott Fraser, which already has sales and lettings offices in Headington, East Oxford, Summertown and Witney, with a separate head office in Oxford comprising property management, refurbishment, and buy to let services.
A company statement says the management team is looking for other local Oxfordshire firms to acquire.
Meanwhile Christopher Dodds, director of Abbey Rentals - a family run business operating since 2003 - says: “In our exit plan we needed to find a company that held the same high service values as we have aspired to, and one that could cope with the rapidly changing industry.”
