With the tenants’ fees ban just five weeks away focus is shifting to how agents can make up for lost income - and now three industry suppliers are combining forces to offer free courses on how to mitigate the impact.
Hosted by digital marketing supplier BriefYourMarket.com, the three events aim to show letting agents can implement an effective marketing strategy to replace lost tenancy fee income.
Also involved is tenant reference service LegalforLandlords, and two industry trainers from the Allstars Group, Bryan Mansell and Sarah Edmundson.
There will also be what’s described as “consultative input on the content“ from former LSL Property Services director, David Newnes – now a non-executive director at BriefYourMarket.com - and a former agent and early PropTech expert Damon Bullimore.
“It’s been estimated that up to 20 per cent of a letting agent’s income will be wiped out following the introduction of the ban. The clock is ticking. There are a number of people telling agents what they should do but, similar to the GDPR … we’ve again taken a proactive stance of actually designing a working solution that can be implemented right now.”
The course dates are on April 26 in London, May 2 in Manchester and May 10 in Birmingham. More details here.
