A lettings agent in London has been fined for the third time in as many years – this time for failing to publicise its letting fees and information about its redress scheme online.
AMBI Investments Ltd, trading as Primelodge Estates, was in breach of section 83 (1) of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and fined £5,000.
The business had previously been fined £10,000 in 2017 for a similar breach, and in October last year it was penalised a further £7,000 for failing to apply for a private landlord licence for a property it managed.

Perhaps instead of targeting the prs, the money could be well use for providing decent housing with lower rent? What is the government thinking? Waste more money to enhance power yet not tackling the lack of housing issues by helping to buy house? Surely, getting these tenants to be responsible for their own financial issues and buy their own house is a better way to deal with it than to suppress and crush businesses such as prs.
