Manchester lettings agency Ascend says it’s had a record year in 2019, bolstered by its new Build To Rent involvement.
The company achieved a turnover of £3.4m last year, a 30 per cent year-on-year increase.
In the same period Ascend bolstered its Build To Rent partnerships, bringing the total number of units under management to 4,000.
The company is in the process of finalising partnerships with institutions regarding even larger BTR contracts to be brought on board in 2020.
To support this growth, staffing across offices in Manchester, Salford, Liverpool, Leeds and London has increased to 85 employees, a 77 per cent uplift in one year.
The company expects its BTR asset management division to expand by a further 50 per cent this year.
“It’s obviously been an amazing year, cementing our position as a major Build to Rent player in the North and across the Midlands” explains Ged McPartlin, managing director of Ascend.
“As we go into 2020, we are building on this phenomenal momentum. We have even bigger Build To Rent contracts on the horizon, presenting more great opportunities to grow our offering for the business and investors alike.”
