New app signals to agents when to chase potential landlord clients

A new PropTech app called Acaboom claims to send an alert when a landlord is viewing the agency’s marketing proposal.

This means that the lull between visiting a prospect for valuation and receiving an instruction is minimised, and the agent gets the ‘nod’ when to follow up.

Armed with a 'click to instruct' button a prospect can click directly from the marketing proposal, making it easy for a landlord to instruct the agent.

The app - which works for sales as well as lettings - helps agents minimise 'dead time' associated with heading back to the office to print documents, gather reports and prepare for meetings and valuations.

Pre-appointment information can automatically be sent to the app, containing reports from social media, Google Street View and historic dates and prices, to help impress the potential client.

During a valuation, the agent can use the app to download a customised presentation to share, and after the valuation, the marketing proposal can be sent in minutes, even using 3G.

Managing director Brian Farrell says: "This addition to Acaboom's technology suite illustrates our interest in building the most advanced solutions for busy agents, helping them to win instructions on the move. The agents who are timely, relevant and digitally savvy will win, and we believe [this] helps them tick all the boxes."

The app will soon have the capability to shoot a personalised video message directly from the agent's phone and send this from the app to the customer.

Agencies using the service so far include Webbers, Dawsons, Thomas Morris, Lawrence Rand, Intercounty, Fine & Country, Keatons, Ryder & Dutton, Preston Baker, Nicol and Co, and  Gibbs Gillespie.
