Over 100,000 tenants sign up to Zoopla rental programme

Over 100,000 current or aspiring tenants have signed up to an education programme explaining how the rental sector works, run by Zoopla.

Its so-called Zooploma programme has already signed 186,000 individuals to explain to them how the buying process works, specifically in relation to first time buyers.

The rental Zooploma, reflecting the fast-paced nature of the rental market, is delivered over a five week period, during which subscribers will receive a series of 19 easy to digest emails.

Among the practical guides offered by the rental Zooploma emails are a beginner’s guide to renting costs, ways to secure a property, using agents, understanding rental contracts and the Deposit Protection Service, and space-saving tips once you have moved in.

“By engaging with tenants in a meaningful way in this tailored, digital format, we are driving valuable leads to our letting agent customers. With UK homes renting out in just over two weeks on average, renters face stiff competition, and they must make important decisions quickly. The Zooploma is designed to help better inform tenants throughout each step of their journey” explains Adam Knight, head of CRM at the portal company.

“Our first Zooploma has been a huge success, fast approaching 200,000 sign-ups from first-time buyers. We are confident the rental series will spark a similar level of interest. With more consumers signing up to receive email alerts and updates than ever before, the Zooploma represents just one of the ways we’re innovating to help our agent customers and home hunters alike.”
