Agency uses lockdown to beef up lettings training for staff

Hunters has revealed that it’s used the lockdown period to train staff with a range of e-learning modules as well as some classroom training.

Concentrating on lettings, during April and May 2020 Hunters ran 12 remote courses for 90 delegates, up from seven courses for 50 delegates in 2019.

Delegates were both franchise owners who have been running offices single-handedly and needed to better understand the lettings process, as well as some furloughed staff who attended the training in their spare time.

This allowed staff to continue with their Hunters National Qualification which is endorsed by both the NAEA and ARLA.

“Technology was always going to be the battleground for the industry and the lockdown has accelerated this by a few years.  We have always been extremely proud of our Training Academy which continues to help raise standards and service levels across the group from new joiners to established business owners. The newly adapted programme is proving extremely popular and also commercially beneficial in terms of franchise growth” explains Hunters chief executive Glynis Frew.

“We will continue to invest heavily in our digital capabilities to ensure we remain agile and highly competitive in the market, always underpinned by our vision to evolve and provide the best possible service to our customers and partners.”

Hunters says it’s operating with a combination of home and limited branch working and adhering strictly to government Covid-19 guidelines.
