A PropTech service says it wants to by-pass professional agents and cater just for self-managing landlords.
What’s more, it’s promoting the fact that it is “a solution” for landlords who have “lost faith in letting agents and decided to go it alone.”
Apropos, from the veteran property management director David Alexander, claims there is a growing number of landlords who are, in its own word, “shunning” letting agents.
Alexander says: “Throughout the UK, there are over 10,000 letting agents who use the same old traditional business model, working on the basis of landlords handing over their property in order to maximise profits at all costs.”
The service offers landlords an online dashboard through which they and tenants can book viewings, provide feedback, submit and track applications, pay rent and book check-in dates, as well as manage maintenance online.
DJ Alexander was established in 1982 and describes itself as one of the largest family-run property management companies in the UK offering legal and financial services as well as property management.

Interesting pivot- this was meant to be a platform for agents and to be a new hybrid-esque model.
