Grainger, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, says its new Build To Rent scheme in Leeds has set a record for lettings.
The 242-unit scheme - called The Headline - is 95 per cent let after two months. Monthly rents start at £913.
As with many BTR schemes it boasts a 24-hour gym, WiFi, a ‘wellness studio’ and private dining room, plus an on-site handyman. There is also 5,300 square feet of what the firm calls “shared social space”.
Grainger chief executive Helen Gordon says: “The Headline is an excellent new development and we are delighted with the leasing progress, which far exceeds even our own expectations. It is performing significantly ahead of schedule and has set a new leasing record for Grainger.”
She adds: “Post reopening and lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, it is great to see many positive signs across the board in terms of enquiry and lease-up levels, reaffirming the strong fundamentals of the Build to Rent sector and an enduring demand for well-managed, high quality rental homes.”
The firm says it’s delivered 1,000 BTR homes so far this year with another 8,850 homes in its development pipeline, which will see its capacity in the sector double in size over the next five years.
