A family-owned boutique lettings agency in Salford, Greater Manchester, has taken a significant share in a nearby independent rival - and will offer it financial and property management expertise in return.
Thorpe & Co has bought into Mr Investa - the latter was set up as an online service earlier this year by former Knight Knox agent Ryan Hughes, who hails from the area. Thorpe will provide Mr Investa with finance support as well as property management expertise.
Managing director David Thorpe is reported to be a long-term business mentor of Mr Investa founder Hughes, and has told local media: "Ryan has been a friend of mine for many years and I have watched his career progress with great interest. Having admired his work ethic and knowledge of the buy-to-let market, the opportunity to join Mr Investa was frankly too good to miss."
Hughes adds: "Having the support of David and Thorpe & Co is a real win for Mr Investa and our clients. Being able to offer its excellent lettings and property management service should prove instrumental in helping landlords maximise their investments."
