A new partnership with a PropTech supplier means Purplebricks is now offering landlord clients improved compliance over energy efficiency and other issues.
The partnership is with geospatial technology firm Kamma and gives the Purplebricks team full access to a 24/7 compliance monitoring tool, delivering additional benefits to landlords.
Helen Ogden, head of lettings at Purplebricks, comments: “Our aim is to use technology to give our customers the best possible service - and this new relationship with Kamma will mean we can make compliance easier for landlords, saving them both time and money.”
The agency says that with more regulation hitting the private rented sector, in the form of property licensing schemes and ever-tightening domestic Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards, there is a need for landlords to be offered more automatic compliance tools.
The Kamma software continually tracks local laws and regulations, monitoring the compliance status of every property in the country.
“Providing access to Kamma’s technology means landlords using Purplebricks will be able to minimise risk and maintain standards with real-time compliance requirements and status for any property in their portfolio” says a statement from the PropTech firm.
Its chief executive Orla Shields says: “Purplebricks is a market leader in the estate agency market and Kamma is proud to support their lettings service. Purplebricks customers will now be able to get immediate access to the information they need, supporting compliance and reducing risk of fines.”
