London hotspot - Franchise buys long-standing independent

Winkworth has expanded its presence in London with the opening of a new Maida Vale office following the acquisition of an independent agency. 

The firm has taken over well-established Vickers & Co and has rebranded the office which has been in the heart of Maida Vale since 1984. 

Winkworth Maida Vale will cover Little Venice around the Regent’s Canal, Elgin Avenue and the wider Maida Vale area. 

Peter Brown and Stuart Rothstein, both with Vickers for 30 years, will join the new Winkworth team, which will be 18 strong across lettings, sales residential management, accounts, admin and senior management. 

Maida Vale will be Winkworth’s 13th office in prime London, joining more than 60 offices in the capital and a nationwide network of more than 100.
