Online agency Hortons, which operates its sales activities across five countries, has opened a lettings department.
The new service will initially be available in Leicestershire before being rolled out to other territories later in the year.
Hortons founder Adam Horton says: “We’re really excited to announce the launch of our new lettings service, and welcome our new lettings director, Stuart Dunsmore to the team. Stuart brings with him a wealth of experience having owned a franchise for a well established regional agency over recent years.”
He adds: “I believe our sales service has been successful due our team of highly experienced and passionate agents, combined with the use of the very best technology and having a completely client centric approach to everything we do. We are going to transfer this same ethos to our new lettings service, both for landlords and for tenants.
“The tenant experience is often overlooked in favour of landlords, with landlords being the client. However, it’s our belief that it’s vital to create an agency that tenants want to rent from. By prioritising the tenant’s experience, landlords let their properties more quickly with happier tenants who will hopefully rent for longer.”
Hortons says it operates like Purplebricks in terms of no High Street offices but having local property professionals in different areas.
In a statement issued last year founder Adam Horton stated: “Our aim is to become a national agency within the next five years.”
