Rightmove’s April webinars for agents continue today with Daryl Mcintosh, Policy Manager at Propertymark, giving a legal and compliance update for Scotland.
He will be discussing the Scottish Government’s proposed Rented Sector Strategy and implementation of rent controls, and the effect the material information announcement from National Trading Standards will have on agents, amongst other topics.
Property law expert David Smith returns on Wednesday April 13 part of his series of webinars helping agents to prepare for the Renting Homes (Wales) Act coming into force in July.
On Wednesday April 20 Theresa Wallace, Director at Savills and chair of The Lettings Industry Council joins for a webinar on cladding.
Cladding is now considered material information under Consumer Protection Regulations. Wallace leads the working group industry meetings to discuss how agents should be dealing with cladding in terms of CPR’s and health and safety responsibilities.
In this webinar, she will be discussing CPR’s and how cladding affects lettings agents, how to acquire the information you need, and understanding what a EWS1 form is and how it can help you.
Finally, Rightmove will be joined on Tuesday April 26 by Peter Ambrose, MD of The Partnership, to discuss sales progression and reducing fall throughs.
He will be discussing the most common reasons why deals fall through, how to spot problems before they arise, where insurance can and can’t be used, and how to reduce the likelihood of unwanted surprises for buyers.
March saw a busy first quarter of webinars this year on the Rightmove Hub, including two with trainer Richard Rawlings focused on helping agents to get more valuations.
Over 930 agents registered for Richard’s second session last week, with over 97 per cent of attendees stating that they would be highly likely to recommend the session to a colleague, and over 95 per cent giving a 5/5 rating.
Rawlings says: “The webinars were aimed at helping agents in the field to deliver new business quickly. In this market, every instruction really counts, and my aim is that every attendee will go out into their market with renewed gusto.”
Lisa Gray, Rightmove’s Webinar Manager, commented: “We’re committed to continuing our industry-leading education for agents, helping them to remain on top of changes to legislation and be successful in their markets.”
