Solicitor will answer agents’ questions on Renters Reform Bill

The latest stage of the Renters Reform Bill - and the likely delay in the abolition of Section 21 - will be the focus of another webinar by PropTech supplier Goodlord, taking place tomorrow.

At 10am Goodlord director and lettings legislation expert Oli Sherlock will join Ryan Heaven, solicitor at Dutton Gregory, to discuss the impact of the Second Reading of the Bill yesterday, including the reactions of MPs and backbenchers and the timelines of the bill.

The 30-minute discussion will go through outlined changes to the courts’ process, and discuss what this change means for the Bill, agents, and landlords.

The webinar will also cover other changes, amendments, and proposals to the bill - especially new grounds for student tenancies. In addition, the panel will provide tips and timelines to help agents navigate to the upcoming changes, and discuss any challenges and opportunities that should be considered.

Sherlock says: “The Renters (Reform) Bill’s progress through Parliament could change key details about Section 21, the courts process, student tenancies, and more. In this webinar, we’ll be breaking down what any changes might be and how agents can help prepare for them. Landlords and agents who haven’t yet prepared for the changes must follow progress closely and act quickly so they aren’t on the wrong side of the new regulations when they arrive.”
