Oddly-named Build To Rent scheme will have 335 flats

A 335-unit Build To Rent scheme has reached practical completion stage in Sheffield.

Going under the (perhaps bizarre) name of PLATFORM_, the scheme includes a residents’ lounge, games room, private dining room, gym, and three roof terraces for communal use and events. 

Residents also have access to a dedicated resident services team, so-called ‘smart parcel management’ and a loyalty scheme offering discounts on some local and national businesses. All the flats are EPC B rated and feature photovoltaic roof panels for on-site renewable electricity. Naturalisation works to nearby Porter Brook have also been carried out, in consultation and agreement with the Wild Trout Trust, to create a trout-friendly habitat.

Our partnership continues to deliver high-quality, sustainable, purpose-built rental product in undersupplied markets, and we look forward to the launch of our third scheme in Glasgow later this year.”

The completion of the PLATFORM_ development in Sheffield is the second in partnership with Northwood Investors, following a similar venture in Cardiff, which reached full occupancy last month. A further project in Glasgow is on track to complete this winter.
