The latest Build To Rent scheme announced by the UK’s largest listed rental homes firm is in fact a 22 storey block of flats.
Grainger plc says the new development - called The Copper Works - is a 10-minute walk into Cardiff city centre and will involve 307 new homes in a mix of one, two-bed, and studio flats.
The BTR block features what Grainger calls “several social spaces and amenities” on Level 22 including two rooftop terraces and a resident’s lounge.
There will also be a dedicated on-site resident services team, and a meeting room on level one.
Leesa Ingham, head of marketing at Grainger, says: “When naming any Grainger development, we carefully research the history of the site, surrounding famed landmarks and the heritage of the local area, to inspire our thinking and the naming process.
“The Copper Works was the favoured name for our first development in Wales, given the country’s poignant industrial heritage, and revolutionary copper credentials during the Bronze Age.
“The naming of a new scheme also impacts design decisions with interiors, soft furnishings and wayfinding within the development often taking inspiration from the name.”
