A north of England lettings agency has rebranded after two decades.
Walton Robinson - which specialises in residential lettings for students, professionals and families - has now become Seekers.
The company says the rebrand does not have any impact on arrangements for existing tenants and landlords, but marks a shift in the aspirations of the agency which has been operating for over 20 years.
Managing director and company founder Mark Walton explains: “As an established company with two decades’ worth of experience, we feel the Seekers name continues to position us as an authority on property. It’s important to note we’re not merging with anyone or that we’ve resurrected as another company. We simply feel the time’s right to shake up our brand.”
Walton Robinson was set up in 2001 when Walton purchased a contract of professional and student management properties, alongside a database of landlords.
As Seekers it will retain its head office in Newcastle upon Tyne and the agency will continue to offer its existing services to tenants and landlords, while building on its specialised property sourcing and consultancy service for professional investors.
Investment director Richard Ponton adds: “We know a property is more than just four walls – for a landlord, it can be their livelihood and also their retirement fund. For students, it’s a home from home. For developers, it’s a crucial investment into the region.
“With our knowledge and experience of the student and investment market, our specialist consultancy service provides investors and developers with the right support and market insight, to buy or build the right product, in the right area, with the right market in mind.”
