Upmarket lettings agency Savills has moved its 30-strong team in Reading into a prominent new office in the town centre.
The firm’s new home is on the ground floor of One Forbury Square.
Phil Brown, head of Savills Reading, comments: “We have grown considerably over the last decade, from a relatively small specialist team into the market-leading multi-disciplinary business we are today.
“As a result of our continued success, we set our sights on a move some time ago. Having secured the space last year, we have invested in an impressive fit out to meet our current and future needs, including, of course, ensuring it is as sustainable as possible.”
The 3,700 square foot office will house teams including Residential Development Sales, Residential Lettings, Planning, Development, Valuation and Occupier Services.
Meanwhile lettings agency Martin & Co’s Southend-on-Sea branch has moved to a new bespoke office in the Essex city.
The relocation to Southend’s popular Victoria Shopping Centre coincides with the branch’s launch of The Mortgage Genie South Essex – a one-stop shop financial service for landlords, investors, and first-time buyers.
Branch owner Tony Lindberg and his residential sales and lettings team had previously been based on London Road since 2001.
Lindberg says: “After 21 years, we really felt now was the right time to move and refresh everything.
“The office really is a space fit for a modern estate agency. The team have been incredible throughout the move, and we’ve invested a lot into their equipment and training, with each of them now having passed The Able Agent’s CePap qualification.”
