Almost 4,000 agents have taken Propertymark examinations since the start of 2023 - an average of 46 every business day.
The industry body says that this is borne from the desire from agents to strive for best practice in the sector, ensuring they are making their mark on professionalising and driving up standards.
Propertymark Qualifications claims it has been making in strides in delivering qualifications in new ways, as well as introducing an innovative new Level 4 certificate.
In February this year it launched ‘remote invigilation’ which has now seen over 1,700 exams taken at home or in the workplace since the service started.
Head of Propertymark Qualifications Michael Smith says: “The needs of professionals are evolving and learners want greater flexibility and convenience in where they take their exams.”
In February, Propertymark Qualifications also announced a new Level 4 Management qualification which, by the end of May, 110 agents had already registered. They will sit their exams from September.
The organisation’s figures from January to the end of May also show that female agents lead the way with 62 per cent of registrations.
Smith continues: “Qualified agents play a huge part in raising the reputation of the sector. Consumers can see they are dedicated to improving their knowledge and therefore the service they give.
“The momentum behind those wanting to get qualified is really inspiring, and we are proud to be at the forefront of that.”
