High end lettings agency Aston Chase has let a house modelled on Windsor Castle for the princely sum of £247,000 per year.
Old Conduit House in Hampstead, north London, is described as a Grade II* Listed mini-castle, recently restored and boasting six bedrooms and a total of 5,054 square feet of internal space.
The new American tenants have signed a two-year lettings agreement and have paid the first year of the rent up front.
They are reported to have been attracted to the property because of the Coronation.
The fully modernised home now provides family accommodation across four floors including a dramatic entrance hall with vaulted ceiling, a 30-foot reception room and interconnecting dining room, study and a kitchen/breakfast room with family room and TV area.
There is also a principal bedroom suite with dressing room and en-suite bathroom, five further bedroom suites, two guest WC's, gated off street parking for two vehicles and an 80 foot west facing rear garden alongside what is called a “plush front garden.”
An Aston Chase spokesperson says: “This is the latest in a series of deals that Aston Chase has concluded with American clients.
“Hampstead and St John’s Wood have always been popular addresses with Americans due to the supply of beautiful family homes and the green leafy ambience and sense of community.
“We have recently seen an influx of American families into London encouraged by the strength of the US dollar against the Sterling.”
