An established High Street agency has launched a “partner’ business model that it claims will be the future shape of the industry.

Yorkshire based Preston Baker says the new model will allow agents the opportunity to start their own business “with minimum risk.”

The new model sees agents onboarding as associates, who would be self-employed and work long under, and with the support of, the Preston Baker brand.

The scheme is broadly similar to other models which have launched in the industry in recent years.

Preston Baker claims to have minimised the risks usually associated with starting a self-employed career by “fully supporting associates who are provided with lead generation, have their marketing costs covered, and are guaranteed an income for the first nine months of their journey.”

Associates are also assigned their own patch, counteracting the possibility of competing for business with others working under the Preston Baker brand.
