Pipeline of acquisitions coming later this year

Franchise brand Northwood says its strategy of expansion through acquisition is paying dividends - with more to come.

Northwood managing director Phil Gee says: “Franchisee-led acquisition remains a significant growth strategy for the Northwood brand, and franchisees have already completed on five acquisitions this year.

There are also several more franchisee-led acquisitions in the pipeline, as well as some excellent resale opportunities as a result of well-established franchisees who have been with Northwood for many years achieving their business goals, and who are now looking to retire or take on a new challenge.”

He was speaking after the latest acquisition, with Reading and Newbury franchisee Mitch Mitchison doubling the size of his business following the acquisition of Jon Rosi Management, Reading.

“It was a very attractive proposition for me, as although the business offers a residential sales service, it is primarily a lettings agency with a large portfolio, and it has doubled the size of my business overnight. Jon Rosi has been a successful family-run lettings agency in Reading for about 24 years” explains Mitchison.

“The previous owners worked very hard to establish an excellent relationship with their landlords, and that is something that has always been important to me at Northwood Reading and Newbury.

“I would like to reassure all new and existing clients that they can look forward to receiving continued high levels of customer service from our own family-run business, with all the additional benefits of being part of the Northwood franchise group. We have no plans to make big changes to the business, and I am delighted that the team at Jon Rosi will be remaining with us, as this will help to ensure a smooth transition for all of our valued customers.
