High profile lettings agency chain sets minimum qualification goal

Belvoir Group has linked up with Propertymark in a deal which they say will “help further improve standards and enhance financial protection for consumers.”

Propertymark works closely with its members to set professional standards through regulation, accredited and recognised qualifications, an industry-leading training programme and mandatory Continuing Professional Development.

“The Belvoir Group is delighted to be working with Propertymark from March 1” says Belvoir chief executive Dorian Gonsalves.

“ARLA Propertymark - Propertymark’s lettings membership arm, is the leading membership body for letting agents, providing high standards of advice for agents and consumers alike. All our franchisees will now be provided with in-house training to ensure that everyone achieves the Level 3 Award in residential letting and property management within the next two years if they do not already hold an equivalent qualification.

“The franchisees also have access to NAEA Propertymark, Propertymark’s estate agency membership arm under the new partnership.

“The Belvoir Group has an incredibly robust compliance and auditing process, and this new relationship with Propertymark is a further example of how committed we are to improving standards.

“We are very much looking forward to developing an open and communicative relationship with Propertymark that will ultimately benefit all our franchisees and their clients.”

And Propertymark chief executive Nathan Emerson adds: “We are excited to welcome the Belvoir Group into its new venture with us and look forward to working with their franchise partners to even further enhance their output and compliment their commitment to professional development in the marketplace.

“Our members work to the highest standards possible, and we believe that those who are serious about professionalising the sector and offering the best to their clients should be regulated and qualified. This creates a level playing field but also sets agencies apart from many of their other competitors.”
