London high end agency Eccord has bolstered its property management team with two experienced new hires.
Steve Wilson joins as Senior Property Manager with over a decade of technical experience, including roles as Property Asset Manager and Head of Property Management for two highly regarded independent agencies in London. He has managed properties for individual and large portfolio landlords, building strong relationships through outstanding service and technical property knowledge.
Joining as Property Manager, James Markham brings extensive skills managing rental properties and considerable project management expertise gained from overseeing residential renovation projects in the UK and abroad. Together, Wilson and Markham will work closely with Eccord’s prime and super prime landlords to proactively manage and maintain their investment properties.
Eccord’s rental specialists and property management teams are closely integrated, working side by side to provide a fully joined up service for landlords within the firm’s £1.5 billion residential portfolio under management.
Jo Eccles, founder and managing director of Eccord, says: “The consistent and overwhelming feedback from our landlords is their number one priority for a stringent vetting process to ensure we are placing good quality, reliable tenants in their properties. This is closely followed by net yield, which requires a proactive and experienced property management team to oversee expenditure and maintenance, protecting cash flows and net rental income. Steve and James bring a wealth of additional technical property knowledge and experience and I’m delighted to welcome them to our team.”
Eccord set up its property management service a decade ago, originally at the request of search and acquisition clients acquiring rental properties, who were seeking professional property management support with their rental investments.
Eccles adds: “Over the past decade, our portfolio has grown to £1.5 billion of properties under management and more than 50% of our rental portfolio now comprises landlords who have appointed us independently and solely for property management.”
Eccord has seen particular growth with landlords who have been self-managing their rental investments and are now seeking to outsource their responsibilities as compliance and regulation becomes more complex, and landlords whose properties are already professionally managed and are seeking a superior property management experience to what they have previously encountered.
Eccord more recently launched a Home Management service to support home owners in maintaining and running their homes, whether they live there full time or only during certain periods of the year.
