A family agency, At Home in Edinburgh, has been shortlisted for a major residential sector award.
The agency, which has a team of just four, is in the final list of The Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2024, for Residential Letting Team of the Year.
At Home in Edinburgh is led by husband-and-wife duo Rick and Vicky McCann, and this is the firm’s first year entering The Herald Property Awards for Scotland.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in late September.
Rick McCann says: “We’re delighted to be selected as finalists … and to be in such prestigious company. The rental property market has experienced considerable challenges over the last few years, driving us to find ways to innovate to support our clients and to keep tenants in their homes. We are very proud that this has been recognised by the industry.”
And Vicky McCann adds: “We are also incredibly proud of our small team, standing out in this competitive sector. We don’t strive to be Edinburgh’s biggest letting agency; instead, clients become part of our community, with relationships at the heart of our business. It is testament to our team that most of our landlords come to us by recommendation.”
At Home in Edinburgh dates back to 2010 when Vicky McCann saw a gap in Edinburgh’s market for what she calls ’a personal and approachable letting agency.”
She continues: “We aren’t your average letting service. We’re here to make clients’ experiences as smooth and enjoyable as possible. With a track record of being Scotland’s Residential Letting Team of the Year twice over, we go above and beyond to provide exceptional, personalised service for homeowners, tenants seeking their dream home, and investors looking to expand their property portfolio.
“Our team is the secret ingredient for getting great results. Clients become part of our community, and we genuinely care about helping them feel valued and supported. After all, relationships are the foundation of all we do.”
