A new lettings and management team has been put in place prior to the launch this summer of a huge private rental community resulting from the conversion of the Olympics’ Athletes Village.

Get Living London both owns the site and will act as its rental management company.

The former Athletes’ Village, with nearly 3,000 homes, has been re-named East Village, and rental homes there will be let and managed by a team of 16 recruits.

It is headed by lettings director Liz McCallum, whose CV includes stints at Grainger, Allsop and John D Wood.

The team will manage all the lets themselves and will charge no fees to tenants. It will also offer tenancies of up to three years.

So far, more than 2,500 prospective tenants have registered their interest in East Village. However, the big unknown remains prices, with rents not yet revealed.

McCallum said:  “Get Living London is looking to set new standards for the rental market - no fees, no middlemen, just exceptional service, a range of flexible tenancies and high-quality new homes in London’s newest neighbourhood. With a first-class new  lettings team now in place , we  look forward to introducing renters  to all that East Village has to offer. “
