A letting agency has won a management deal for new-build homes which a landlord can buy with a choice of size, room configurations and features to suit their investment plans.
Manchester-based Ascend agency is the first to handle the ‘hoUSe’ properties, built by niche developer Urban Splash in the New Islington area close to the city centre.
“This unique development allows the buyer to choose the number of floors, room configurations and alter internal features such as the size and type of kitchen to suit the owner or tenant” says a statement from Ascend.
Lora Roberts, portfolio manager at Ascend, says this is the first scheme of its kind and the company is itself letting two and three bed furnished and unfurnished units, perhaps demonstrating the flexibility of the propertie.
“We’re pleased to work alongside our landlords and assist them with the ongoing management of their properties” she says.

Having the ability to adapt your home to suit your investment, an interesting idea. Surely this can be done through refurbishment once the property has been built, and still be more of a affordable option than this venture. I'm not sold on the idea just yet.
