Letting agents and landlords operating in Northern Ireland are now being invited to go through an accredited training programme being operated by the Chartered Institute of Housing and the province’s Department for Communities.
The CIH describes the programme - Learning 2 Let - as a chance for agents to access CIH's Level 2 Award in Letting & Managing Residential Property at a subsidised rate, as a result of bursary support received from the Department for Communities.
Learning 2 Let, which will be rolled out across the province over the next three years and will include an online training option from later in 2016, offers all registered private landlords and letting agents in Northern Ireland the chance to secure this fully accredited CIH qualification for only £100.
"The funding which the Department for Communities has committed to this programme means that not only can we help private landlords and letting agents to gain a recognised industry qualification at a minimal cost to them, but we can also make private rented accommodation a better option for everyone" says CIH director for Northern Ireland Nicola McCrudden.
