Lettings sector energy firm Spark has announced that it is launching a business-to-business energy service which will initially target high street estate and letting agents.
Spark Business Utilities will offer fixed-term gas and electricity deals for commercial premises over a period of up to three years.
The group says it has been able to offer savings of more than £20,000 to partners compared to what they were paying with a Big Six energy supplier.
Many letting agents already use Spark's domestic service for tenants and the supplier says it wants to help agents cut costs at a time when profits are becoming squeezed.
"Business energy is something our partners in the property industry have been asking us about for some time," says Chris Gauld, Spark's chief executive.
"We know that they’re facing numerous challenges and Spark Business Utilities will help them to meet some of these by reducing their costs and preserving their hard-earned margin."
Spark's business energy offer provides 'multi-site solutions' which allow agents to have a single account which can be monitored by branch.
Earlier this year, Spark launched Tili, a digital home move assistant which aims to provide agents with additional revenue opportunities and improve the moving experience for consumers.
