** This Bank Holiday Monday both Letting Agent Today and Estate Agent Today look at how agencies have modified offices and protocols to operate safely. There are separate examples on LAT and EAT so please check out both. Back to normal stories tomorrow, but in the meantime thanks to those who have contributed today. **

Lenwell is a great lettings agency that has taken a highly responsible but accessible approach to how to handle the current crisis.

It operates in the Luton, Dunstable, Bedford, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Stevenage and Biggleswade areas, and Sonia Lee from the agency has kindly been in touch.
She says: “Lenwell’s offices opened to some of our Lettings staff this week but remains closed to the public. Signs were created and posted in the windows alerting the public and asking them to telephone offices with enquiries.
“A safe key handling process was instigated from the start of lockdown and has been transferred to offices, and these are being arranged by appointment with staff outside of the offices.
“The only staff that were allowed back have been assessed as to whether it was safe for them to return, taking into account who they live with e.g vulnerable groups.
“Staff have been provided with PPE equipment (not those for health care professionals) hand sanitisers, washes and cleaning sprays for the offices which were thoroughly cleaned prior to their return.
“Our contractors have been issued with the latest government advice and guidance to ensure they can visit homes safely and carry out essential works.”
Very imaginatively, Lenwell has created a light hearted video on how it undertakes viewings in the current climate - it’s well worth a watch below. And if you want a version for your own agency, please contact Lenwell and they can help in return for a donation to the NHS.

What a really nice idea! Great stuff.
I carried out a viewing exactly this way. Unfortunately later the current occupant called to something was stolen!
